Walk onto almost any major film set in Los Angeles, London, or Budapest, and there is a very good chance the camera pointed at the actors carries a small orange badge that reads ARRI. And yet, year after year, the credits of Oscar contenders and studio tentpoles keep returning to the same name. At the 98th Academy Awards in March 2026, six of the ten Best Picture nominees were captured with ARRI cameras, and three of the five Best Cinematography nominees were as well.
